The Transfiguration

Matthew Chapter 17

1  After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2 There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. 3 Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.

Jesus representing the Resurected King of Kings & Lord of Lords.

Moses representing the Law and all those who have died a physical death.

Elijah representing the Prophets and those in the near future who are gathered in the cloud with Jesus, who don’t experience death but are changed in a twinkling of an eye.

Walk of Life

Romans Chapter 6

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

In this new life we are raised into, we walk by faith, not by sight.  The old life we were surely to die and our eyes were opened to knowledge of good and evil.  The choice is ours to remain in the first Adam and die or to believe in the Second Adam and live now and eternally.
