Estate Planning

Enoch Chapter 96

6  Woe unto you, sinners, who in the midst of the sea, and on dry land, are those against whom an evil record exists. Woe to you who squander silver and gold, not obtained in righteousness, and say, We are rich, possess wealth, and have acquired everything which we can desire.

7  Now then will we do whatsoever we are disposed to do; for we have amassed silver; our barns are full, and the husbandmen of our families are like overflowing water.

25  To them there shall be no peace; but they shall surely die suddenly.

Luke Chapter 12

16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.

19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

An elderly husband was on his death bed and he asked his wife to fill up a suitcase full of money.  He asked her to take it up into the attic and place right above his bed so when he died, he would grab it on the way up to Heaven.  So she did and soon her husband passed.  She went up to the attic to look and there sat the suitcase full of money in the same spot.  She says, “Maybe we should have put the suitcase in the basement.”

God’s earthly estate had provided this farmer abundance, but he did not recognize or acknowledge this Truth.  The selfish farmer thought it was all about him and his good planning would allow him to party in security for years to come.  Unfortunately it does not seem as if the farmer was storing up any treasures in Heaven.  His estate planning was only an earthly one about him.  Should have turned his riches toward God with a tithe of the fruits and God would have been made known to him.  Unfortunately his life was required and the soul returned to God’s Heavenly Estate to one side or the other of the gulf.  His flesh returned back to God’s earthly estate, the ground.

God Bless you and yours
